Carolyn B. Leonard
Favorite quote: I’d rather live my whole life believing that God exists and then die and find out he doesn’t, rather than living my whole life not believing in him, then die to find out he does exist.
CAROLYN B. LEONARD, author of “Who's Your Daddy?”, “To Israel, With Love,” “The First Hundred Years in America, and publisher of the e-zine “Writers Reminder” a free service for writers.
Leonard is past president and honorary life member of the OK Writers Federation, also a member and past president of the Writers of Purple Sage and OKC Writers, and of the international group Dutch Cousins of Kentucky. A member of historical societies in several states, she has been honored by Kentucky SAR for locating and marking graves of American Revolutionary Patriots, and was named an Honorary Kentucky Colonel by the governor.
Her genealogy how-to book, WHO’S YOUR DADDY?, travel and history book, TO ISRAEL, WITH LOVE, both in second edition, and the newest “THE FIRST HUNDRED YEARS IN AMERICA” are available from Amazon.com.
She is a popular speaker at workshops, organizations, fairs and festivals, especially when talking about her favorite subjects, genealogy and writing.
A commissioned writer almost 15 years for Persimmon Hill, the award-winning magazine of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Leonard is a contributor to several other books.
Leonard’s historical novel & several non-fiction manuscripts have claimed awards in state and national competition, but remain incomplete. She plans to finish them all this year (every year), but her hobbies of flower gardening, photography, genealogy, travel, computer networking, writer meetings, friends, family and grandchildren habitually interfere – and not necessarily in that order.
